Russian govt approves CIS Mining’s purchase of Mikheyevsky plant
MOSCOW, Apr 7 (PRIME) -- The Russian government’s commission for foreign investment control has approved the purchase of rights by CIS Mining Development Ltd to manage the Mikheyevsky ore processing facility, Andrei Tsyganov, a deputy director of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, told reporters on Friday.
“The second deal is a purchase by CIS Mining Development Limited of rights that allow it to define conditions of business activities at the Mikheyevsky ore processing plant,” he said.
The plant, located in the Chelyabinsk Region, has large reserves of copper ore. Foreign investors are going there to develop mining and processing copper ores, which is yet to be built, he said.
He did not disclose other details of the deal.
